The photo to the right shows Akif, our local dentist working in the clinic with the donated Castellani equipment from Dentaid in Britain dental.jpg (15436 bytes)
Picture of the Refugee Hospital The photo of the outside of the building show the clinic rooms are the first 4 windows on the bottom left, the pale blue tank on the stand is our water supply but there isnt enough pressure to get water into it without a pump and even then it is a struggle. Sometimes we fill the tank at night but by the morning there is no water. We can't use the pump during the day as the nearby tap is the only hospital supply and for the refugees in nearby buildings. On my last visit the tap was gone so now it runs all the time!!

At least with a bit of Kiwi ingenuity and a swiss army knife and a Leatherman tool and some supaglue we are running top notch at present.

The clinic power supply is infrequent and when it is on there is not enough to run the equipment and the Composite Curing light at the same time!

This photo shows the reception room which I plan to convert to a surgery as it is underutilised at present and we need more space.

We hope to extend to 5 days a week next month and have another dentist keen to join if we can raise the finance.
