H A Y T O N A Racing

A touch of class:
two beatup muddy cars

Vauxhall Viva (blue car to the left)
This car we were ripped off. The engine bay is absolutely covered in mud. You open the bonnet and just laugh the only clean thing is the battery which gets swapped between cars.
The viva has a lot of body roll and because we usually go round the track only one way it is now on a lean to that side! It is rear wheel drive and there is no weight in the back at all so it gets sideways AWESOME. In the wet you can drive around the whole track with the back out, impresses spectators thats for sure.
This car is LOUD! it has the exhaust manifold then nothing! It backfires something awful and at night if standing outside the car or looking through the gear stick hole you can see the flashes as it back fires.

Toyota Carona (red car to the right)
It only ran on 3 cylinders and when you steer the steering wheel the steering lock also follows.
We thrash this car a lot. Our record is 140 kmph but we were only moving about 30kmph. She was spinning up good then. Once I spun it out then still running high revs blew the radiator cap off.
The tyres are bald as and extremely uneven. Because the panels are so beat up we run from one end of the car to the other from bonnet to roof to boot then back.

Squealee your way back to the car list
