Even though I have very poor eyesight Astronomy continues to  be a major interst for me. I have set up a small  Google web site  to  encourage others to share this interest. It is at Viewablesky

Radio 88fm is going well and we have a full schedule of very good programmes.  This Low Power FM Radio station to broadcast specifically for our local Chinese community.  We have some very good Chinese programmes to share.  We are heard throughout Levin. A new ministry BIBLE SHARING TRUST has been established for oversight and is a Registered Charity. The station has a web site which is www.88fm.org.nz

November 2008 Having found out something of our Scotish Heritage I am now working on my Grannies Polish family. Granny Little was a first generation New Zealand citizen but I still recall the lilt in her voice

In April 2006 I enjoyed a delightful tour of South West Scotland. This was a once in a life time opportunity come about because of changing work circumstances. I visited Glasgow, Islay ,Wanlockhead and Dumfries.

Learning about Scotish History from Tundara Hunters to Celtic tribes was fasinating. Whilst aincient history dates back c7000 BC, I took joy in learning about people and places I recognised. Sir William Wallace; King Robert the Bruce; Robby Burns. It was good to be there where they had been. I attended Church at St Matthews in Dumfries where the bard Robbie Burns is burried. Below are pictures of both St Matthews Church and a Celtic Cross at the foot of which I sat and thought on Good Friday 14th April 2006.

A major draw for me to Scotland was a longing to visit Wanlockhead the little Village where my ancestors lived and died. I wanted to find their grave stones and walk in the environment they would have known from about the mid 1700s. If you are interested in any aspect of my family history please email me.

Some may ask why look back into history, why not just..."live today and live it well". I believe in all things working together for good from our past and present. Our past is the foundation of life and hope for the future.

School Milk

When I was just a small kid sipping school milk, I knew nothing of the things which were to come. Here I am sipping School milk at Milton Otago about January / February 1957 -
