Petition on the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance

In December 2006, the United Nations adopted a major new human rights treaty aimed at preventing and punishing enforced disappearance.

New Zealand didn't sign it.

You can help change this.

Download the petition, collect as many signatures as you can, and post it back.

This page is for the NRT petition on the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance. It's pretty basic, but I'm in a hurry. I want to get this done and presented by the end of the month, in time for the Day of the Disappeared on August 30th - which means presenting it to Parliament on Thursday the 28th. This sets an extremely tight deadline. Please ensure your signatures are in the post by August 24th, to

Lower Hutt

Updates will be posted throughout the month as signatures arrive, or if there is media coverage.

If you have any questions, email nrtpetition@gmail.com.
